What a busy month we have had...so it feels. We started off this month with VBS at church. Ashton had a blast with his class, which I have to give my sister Julie THANKS for teaching, if you could have seen how LARGE Ashton's class was, you will understand how just saying thank you is an understatement. His class had on average about 22 children! Right after VBS ended on Friday afternoon we headed out with our friends to...SEA WORLD! Yes we went to Sea World again and in the middle of a Texas August. If that doesn't say anything about our heat endurance, I don't know what will:) We went to Sea World that evening for the summer nights shows and then we stayed the night and returned the next morning. So those things have been the most exciting so far this month. We have plans to attend a couple of Birthday parties at the end of this month and that will close out our month.
Alayna turned 9 months this month and she is into anything and everything. She would win the fastest crawler in the baby Olympics! She is starting to prefer finger foods over baby food and is learning to drink out of her sippy cup. She is also enjoying her walker toy and her little leap frog table that she stands at and plays. She is doing so well and is getting more personality every day!
We have gotten some rain this month and it's actually been in the low 90's this week. So welcomed! I hope the weather continues to cool off from here on. Ashton always opens the back door and "feels" the air and says "mommy it's not hot!" He does this when we wants to go outside and play on his swing set. The other night in his prayer he thanked God for his glider;) I think he really likes it!
