In case you didn't know this about me...I use coupons. I use them a lot, and usually get pretty good deals on my groceries. I usually have pretty good luck at Target because you can combine Target coupons with manufacturer coupons. I thought I would share some of the web sites that I like to go to for coupon tips and ideas. These are blogs that are written be moms who like to save money and do it so well! If you would like to check into it, I will leave links to some of my favorite blogs I look at everyday. Also, I check coupons.com every week to see what new coupons they have and then I just print them right at home! They usually let you print out two per computer. In fact, I just printed out two coupons for Leap Frog Tag books...these make great coupons for the kids because both of them have Tag systems and love to read books with them! Hope these links may help you in your money saving endeavors!

Christmas 2009
Today was so fun! The kids were up around 7:30 and they were so excited to see that Santa had brought them! They got a lot of fun things. I would say one of Ashton's favorites is his remote control dinosaur. It is a pretty good size and does lots of different things. One of Alayna's favorite things she got is a little doll that you snap the clothes off and on. It's really cute! My parents, sister and brother in law came over to join us for breakfast. It was a really enjoyable time. Later on we went back to my parents house to enjoy our Christmas dinner. We always have mexican food for Christmas, it was really good! The weather outside was sunny and really cold, perfect to me! I love the cold weather....too bad we didn't get any of that Texas snow that hit the Dallas area! That would have made it perfect! We are suprising the kids in the morning by taking them to the Disney Live show down at the Frank Erwin center in Austin. I think it will be a really fun day...I'll write about that tomorrow! Hope all had a great and wonderflul Christmas, and have a happy new year!

December madness!
I can't believe I haven't written this whole month! In my defense...it's been a little bit busy. We of course started off with little Hannah being born to my sister and brother in law. She has been a great baby for them and I'm glad! Then we had Ashton's fifth birthday party! My little boy is five, and that's hard for me to swallow. He is growing up so fast and the reality of him starting Kindergarten in less than a year is starting to set in. He was so excited to bring doughnuts to his class to share at school, he even got to wear a special birthday crown! That weekend we had a few of his little church friends over for his birthday party. They had a good time playing and eating his Transformer cake (which I will say he was really proud of!). At school we only had a total of two and a half weeks this month. All we did the whole time was Christmas crafts and practice for our Christmas program, wish we ended the month with. It was so great! The kids did wonderful. I will post the video of Ashton's class singing as soon as Shawn is done formatting it for me. I'm just now getting over being sick. I came down with, what I think, was tonsillitis. I had a terrible backache and my tonsils were so swollen! It's lasted for several days and is finally going away...thanks to my Mom. She has me on a herb prescription and I know it's working :) So now...we are just awaiting Santa! He should be here in only two days. Yep! We are excited! I think we are going to make him some cookies today :) Hope all are having a wonderful Holiday!

December Blessing
Today was a great day! My new niece was born today to my sister, Julie. Hannah Kaelyn was born today and she is beautiful! I can't wait to get to know her and watch her grow up :) Ashton and Alayna were so excited to go up to the hospital to meet new baby Hannah. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving last week, I hope all of you did as well! We just hung out at my parents house and played with the kids and of course ate...way to much!! One of my favorite parts of that day was hearing Alayna read books with her great grandmother. It was so sweet :) In other news...Ashton is going to be 5 on Sunday, so we are having a small little birthday party for him at our house. I can't believe he is growing up so fast! Well...until next time, here are some pics of baby Hannah!
