Today was our last day of preschool before Thanksgiving break. Today was our Thanksgiving program and "feast" for the kids. My class did very well singing their songs, and Ashton's did well too! All the kids were so cute in their turkey hats (the video I have doesn't show those, unfourtunatly) Tonight Shawn and I are going out with our good friends to Christmas shop for the kids, Ashton and Alayana are going to stay with Mom and Dad....so of course we are looking forward to a night out! Next week we will be getting ready for Thanksgiving and of course getting our Christmas stuff out...it doesn't seem like it's that time of year already! Fun week with Nana & Papaw
This week we have had some special visitors....my in laws have been here from Kentucky and we have had the best time! The kids have loved having them here. We had Alayna's 2nd birthday party, gone to Sea World, Build a bear and other fun things. We are taking the kids in the morning to get their Christmas pictures taken...I hope we get some good ones! I love to share pictures, so here ya go! The first one is Alayna's birthday party, and the second one is our fun times so far with Nana and Papaw...enjoy!

It's finally done!
So today is a busy day. I've been getting the house ready for my in-laws who are flying in today from Kentucky...and I've attempted to make Alayna's strawberry shortcake birthday cake. This is the first time I've attempted a "theme" cake before. So naturally, I didn't know how long this would take me. I'm finally done though (3 hours later) :) So I hope it lasts until her little family party tomorrow night! Here is a picture of the cake....more to come of her party later!

Halloween 2009
Halloween was so fun this year! It was so nice outside, just the right temp outside for long sleeves & chili :) The kids went trick or treating with their best friends, Addie, John & Jack. They had a blast! Alayna was the cutest little lady bug, she got a lot of compliments last night. Ashton had the best time running house to house with his friends. I love the age the kids are right now. They are at the perfect age for all of these fun holiday traditions. Now...it's on to November! Bring on the holidays :)
