It's official...I love Scentsy!

If you have ever been in my house many times, you know that I always have some kind of great smell lingering around. It's not that I'm always making homemade chocolate chip cookies....it's my Scentsy! Now I've decided that I want to share it with friends and family...while making a little money in the process :) I know it sounds like the typical sales pitch, and I don't like that part of it...but I truly love this product. If you don't know Scentsy, it is a wick less candle. You choose your warmer and then you choose scented wax bars. The wax is clean and never gets very hot so it is safe for a home with children who may get a little curious about it. I have burned many different smells in my home and all of them smell so good! One of my favorites is called Sugar Cookie...and everyone who comes in my house when this is burning love it! The scents never get old because there are so many to choose from. Also, when the fall/winter season comes along we get the seasonal scents and they are a must for that holiday feeling in your home!
If you would like to ever have a party in your home please contact me. We can also do something called a "basket party" where I will give you my samples and catalogs. You can take them home and look everything over. Pass them along to friends and family and let them take a look. If anyone decides to buy product, they will send an order form back to you and I will collect everything at the end. It's such a great thing because you can still get hostess perks with a basket party :)
So there....my rant on Scentsy! Here is my web page if you would like to check it out.

Today Ashton goes to the Dentist...

I know it's horrible and I'm ashamed to admit that today will be Ashton's first time to the dentist. Up until recent, he was very scared and I just didn't want to put him through it until he was ready and willing. Who wants to try and look at a screaming kids teeth anyway? So just a few months ago Ashton finally lost two bottom teeth and now that he has permanent teeth, we are waiting now more! He is ready and willing to go now and actually quite proud of himself about his appointment today. I'm glad I waited for him to be ready, now our day to the dentist will (hopefully) be a pleasant experience :) I'll come back when I have more details about our day....
So we are home now and *drumroll please* Ashton has no cavities! Yay for him...and for Mommy and Daddy's pocket book :) He did absolutly wonderful at the dentist today. It helps that the people there were great with him as well. We were not able to get his x-rays today because he has a "sensetive" gag reflex. We'll just leave it at that and hope that next time we are able to do that part. So show us your pearly whites Ashton! Great job buddy!

Our budding artist

Have I ever mentioned that Alayna loves to paint? She will sit and paint for literally hours! Today is the second day that brother is at his Grandparents and she isn't really used to be home alone without a playmate...so today she painted quite a bit. She makes the most beautiful, full of color paintings. I just love them :)

Garage Sale Day

Shawn and I got up this morning at 5:45 to get ready for our garage sale. I had finally gone through our attic and sorted through all the baby clothing and toys and decided what to keep, give to my sister for future nieces and nephews, and what I could part with. I had a large pile of clothes on my living room floor for several hours on Friday! So after doing that, I cleaned out all the younger toys that Ashton doesn't use anymore and all the other stuff I could come up with and we had a good amount to make a garage sale worth our time. We actually had a great morning! We met lots of neighbors and my dear friend, Karri came over and visited with us while selling some of her stuff as well. Although it was hot and humid...it was a successful morning!
My parents kept the kids last night and they are not home yet....but I hear they are having a great time! Dad took Ashton to Academy and bought a bow and arrow, yep, how cool is that? I just know he is having a blast with it and won't want to come home. It's the rubber tipped arrow kind in case you are wondering :) Also, Mom said they made mud pies...so I'm going to have the tubs ready for when they get here a little later.
What a fun, busy and relaxing Saturday...and we made a little money too!

A cool blog....

I'm one to follow blogs, mainly those that help me save a bit of money. One blog I like is The Thrify Mamma. If you have a chance, check it out! She always has great ideas and deals on natural living :) Here's the link!

Sunday snooze

What is it about Sundays that makes us so tired anyway? As I sit here on the couch I'm contiplaiting what to do with the kids this coming week. Ashton is now out of school and he is anxious to get his summer started! We are on a tight, tight budget in the summer time due to my job being on summer break as well. So that being said, I have to come up with ways to entertain the kids that are either free or...well FREE!
I'm thinking this week we will go over to my sister's house on Monday to play and also do our monthly Costco trip. I'm also planning on taking the kids to see my grandparents this week. That is something that I'm looking forward to doing much more this summer is visiting with them :)
Well..if anyone has any good suggestions on things to close to home or activities at home, I'm open!
Happy Summer!

Ashton graduates Kindergarten...Summer is upon us!

So this week Ashton has graduated Kindergarten and his year is officially over. He did so good! He has a perfect report card and has grown so much in a school year, physically and intellectually. I have high hopes for him as his school career gets started :)

Happy Easter

The kids just love easter time! This year, it was a simple holiday. We spent the day over at my parents house while the kids hunted eggs and played outside. Alayna and Hannah were really into finding eggs....for some reason Ashton wasn't into that this year. At least not while at Grammys house. On easter morning however, he was all about running around the house looking for eggs that the easter bunny had left for them :)
