Busy, Busy Day!

Not that we were doing anything exciting, unless you think laundry and house work is exciting, but none the less it was a busy day. Ashton had fun outside with Eli and Alayna has almost started to walk! Yep! She started really taking steps this weekend and today she pushed it a little farther and took several steps before she fell down. I think she will be walking before her birthday for sure.
I have decorated my mantel with my fall decor and I really like it. I have added a scarecrow and a pumpkin to our front porch. Ashton likes to check on him...just in case he decides to go somewhere I guess? We have a pretty mantel over our fireplace and I think I'm going to really enjoy it during the holiday season. I am excited to get the kids stockings hung up;) Shawn has been busy with work lately. He has been working with two other credit unions besides his full time job at his credit union. He is getting some great experience, which is great for him.
I took Alaynas picture in her rocking chair tonight, she thinks she is such a big girl. She kept trying to get down, and then she did! She just slid right off and stood there...I was like "OK then!" I guess I didn't have to worry about here falling after all. She is getting attached to her "baby." She has a little pink doll that she likes to hold and hug, it's really cute. If you ask her "where is baby?" She will put down what ever she is doing and go look for her.
I'll leave you with an Ashton quote from tonight....he told Shawn that he was getting "swallowed" we just looked at each other like "what?" The as he began to tell us more, we realized that he was talking about his ant bites getting swollen. HA! He is such a funny little guy:)

Halloweens a comin...

I don't know about you, but around here we love Halloween:) Ashton has loved it since he was old enough to wear a costume. His first Halloween he was Tigger, then he was a pumpkin and last year he was buzz light year. So being today is the first official day of fall (even though it doesn't feel like it) we are starting to think about our Halloween this year. Ashton has decided to be spiderman and is very excited about showing off his muscles. Literally. The costume he picked out has stuffed muscles on the chest and arms, it's really cute. But you will have to wait to see pictures of it later! I'm going to ask Shawn to get in the attic soon and bring down my fall decor. Maybe the weather will cooperate soon and let us feel fall in the air!
Alayna is getting close to walking. I'm not sure if she will do it before her first birthday, but she really wants to! She can take about 2 steps before falling and boy does she get excited about those 2 steps! We went to Sea World this past Saturday (yes..again!) and she was really watching the shows and stuff this time. It was really cute. At Sea World, she drank from a straw for the first time and also was clapping along with everyone else. We were so happy to see her having so much fun. She is getting close to her first birthday, I can't believe it. This year is flying by so fast! Guess that's about it for now, so until next time.....

This & That...

Well here we are half way into another month already. I am happy to say that I survived my 29th birthday...next year will be that milestone of saying "has ta la vista" to the 20's. Shawn and I wonder sometimes is we are still considered to be in the "young people" group at church;) So this month has not be very exciting so far. We've watched on the news the hurricanes blow in. We are waiting to see what Ike will do to our coast line tomorrow. I'm so happy that my grandparents are living here now and don't have to worry about hurricane season any longer.
Ashton continues to have more and more energy, I think that boy is going to be in track because no matter where he goes, he's running! He is so excited because he now has a new friend at Grammies house. A horse named Cricket! He now said that Shaky (the mini horse, is the baby now) because Cricket is a normal sized horse. Alayna now has 4 teeth! Boy does she show them off! She is so happy and when you get her laughing, it's the cutest thing ever:) She is getting close to walking now. I think she will be taking her first steps in a few weeks! How exciting!
Guess that's about it in our world for now, so until next time...
