Once again, I have all my windows open! It's been so nice and cool outside, I just can't resist the fresh air blowing in the house. Ashton had his friend, John spend the night last night. They played so well the whole time (they always do!) They are big buddies :) They are always singing silly songs together while playing super hero...or what ever it is they are playing. Today is my sisters baby shower. I know it's going to be so nice, I can't beleive it's already time for it! Little baby Hannah is going to be here before we know it! When we were at Babies R us the other day, Ashton saw the sippy cups and said "mommy, can we get one of these for baby Hannah?" It was so sweet to hear him say that. I'm excited about this week..at school we are going to be doing some cute Halloween stuff...Friday is our fall festival, and Ashton is excited to wear his costume to school (pics to come!) Then of course on Saturday we will be heading out with family and friends for some good trick or treating! Here is a picture of the kids at Trunk n Treat at the preschool....
Every time Shawn leaves for a convention, I'm always on the count down for when he will be back home! It's hard being a single mom for a week. I've learned to appreciate those mom's who are alone with their kids all the time. So Shawn is in Dallas this week, so the kids and I are keeping busy! Of course, Ashton & I have school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday...so those days are always busy. Tuesday and Thursday I think we will just run some errands and visit Granniemommie and Pops (my grandparents). The kids love to go and visit them and play on their nice new porch outside. It's been perfect to play outside these past few days! It's been in the low 70's, cool and breezy...just perfect for fall. We have some busy weekends coming up! My mom's birthday is on Thursday, so I'm having the family over for dinner on Friday night. Then next weekend is Halloween...already!! So we will have the family over again for Chili and then head out for trick or treating (cute pictures to come!). We are having a fall festival at school next Friday and I just can't wait to see all the kiddos in their costumes! I have to remember my camera :) After that, my wonderful in-laws will be in town for a week and a half from Kentucky. That weekend we are celebrating Alayna's birthday and then going to Sea World! The kids don't know yet...so it's a huge surprise :) So guess that's about it for now! Lots of fun coming up....just gotta get Shawn back home first! Until next time....take care!
Today it is perfect outside...to me anyway! The kids are wearing long sleeves and look pretty cute I might add :) Recently I saw on Wheel of fortune that they are going to do a "most loveable pet" contest. If you see your pets picture during "pet week" you win 3,000. Well....we all know that our dog, Eli, is THE most lovealbe pet. So yes, I entered him! This is the picture I sent in...you think he has a chance?
We will see, I know he has some pretty tough compition out there. But really...who can resisit Eli's smile? So today we are going out to Wal-mart. We really try and not go there....ever. Especailly on a Saturday, but today we have no choice. We are going to buy Snow White for Alayna for a stocking stuffer. I have a ten dollar coupon that we are going to use, wich will end up being a pretty awesome deal, because at Walmart the movie is only 19.96! We may buy some mums while we are out as well. I love mums in the fall and I'm looking foward to the color in front of our house!
